Emily Bird, President

Emily Bird joined the Expanding Lives Board in 2014 and serves as current Board President. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger from 2009-2011. Emily  brings over ten years of experience working in nonprofit development both internationally and in Washington DC. She is currently a Development Manager with Chicago-based Youth Guidance, a recognized leader in school-based youth development programming. Emily received her BA in International Studies and MA in International Education from American University. She is passionate about education an community-driven change.
