Julianne Arvizu

Julianne joined the Expanding Lives Board in 2018. The Arvizus have been a host family for 3 years and have welcomed our West African scholars and many EL volunteers into their home. Julianne is the coordinator of Inspire Your Future, an initiative that connects local businesses and professionals with high school students exploring their career options. She has also worked as a television producer, event manager, sales executive and singer.

Julianne received her BA in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University and studied journalism at UCLA. She is passionate about programs that foster a sense of community and loves bringing people together. Julianne and her husband Jamie live in Skokie with their 3 children and a myriad of pets.
